Professor Olubola Babalola is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. She is the first female Professor of Quantity Surveying in Africa. Professor Babalola is a renowned scholar with cutting-edge innovative research in QuantitySurveying and Construction Management. She has received several research fellowships and grants including the Carnegie of USA Fellowship for Female academics for Ph.D. programme in 2005; a research grant for the assessment of training of Quantity Surveying by the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria in 2010; Getty Foundation of USA Keeping it Modern grantin 2019; Gerda Henkel Foundation of Germany grant (2019); and LISA TEACH of USA grants in 2019.
