Takafiyya S. Alhassan is a Quantity Surveyor and PhD researcher with research interests in Construction Cost Management, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Construction Contracts, Risk Management, Sustainable Construction, and Life-Cycle Costing. Her academic interests focus on improving cost and risk management, enhancing value and efficiency in construction projects, and promoting sustainable and economically viable approaches within the construction industry. She holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Quantity Surveying from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Project Management from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Her work focuses on advancing knowledge and practice in construction cost and value management, sustainable project delivery, digital construction, and the long-term performance of buildings and construction projects. She is passionate about teaching, research, knowledge development, and innovation.

Dr Neltah Mokgware-Monosi Dr Neltah Mokgware-Monosi is an accomplished real estate and built-environment professional with over a decade of interdisciplinary experience spanning real estate, infrastructure development, market intelligence and applied research. She holds a PhD in Real Estate and an MSc in Project Management, complemented by professional training in real estate, asset management and facilities management. As the Founding Director of Tempest Gold, she leads a real estate advisory firm providing bespoke services across the built environment. Her expertise encompasses asset management, infrastructure planning, market studies, valuations, feasibility assessments and strategic advisory across residential, commercial, agricultural and resource-linked property markets. Dr Mokgware-Monosi has a particular interest in the impact of mining and energy investments on land use, infrastructure demand, asset performance and regional development in emerging and frontier markets. Her work bridges academic rigour and practical industry insight to support evidence-based investment, policy and development decisions. She is an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Real Estate Practice, Acting Vice Chairperson of the Future Leaders of the African Real Estate Society, and an international peer reviewer. Her professional and research interests include infrastructure-led development, sustainable asset optimisation, market transparency, land governance and inclusive growth.

My Academic & Research Journey   I am a Quantity Surveying professional and researcher with an academic background from the University of Johannesburg (UJ). I hold a National Diploma in Building Science, BTech in Quantity Surveying, and BSc Honours in Quantity Surveying.   My research journey has mainly focused on digital transformation and digital collaboration within the South African construction industry. I have always been interested in understanding how technology can improve the way construction professionals work together, manage costs, share information and ultimately deliver projects more efficiently.   My research includes Challenges of Digital Collaboration in the South African Construction Industry and Digitalisation in Construction Industry: Construction Professionals’ Perspective. I also authored the academic book Challenges of Digital Collaboration in the South African Construction. My later research explored the behavioural intention of construction organisations to adopt digital collaboration in South Africa.   My academic research has allowed me to combine my knowledge of Quantity Surveying and construction management with digital innovation and technology adoption. Today, I continue to apply this knowledge alongside my practical experience as a Quantity Surveyor, particularly within the construction and mining sectors.

Net Zero carbon construction is my research area during my Masters degree, and I will love to continue in this area.

Christiana is an educator, researcher, a practising quantity surveyor, a mentor and mentee. Her research interest include construction management, education, digitalisation,bgender, and workforce dynamics.

Bldr Ukpoireghe Ibidayo holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in Nigeria; and is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) and CORBON registered. She has worked in the construction industry such as A.Oni Nig. Ltd Ijapo Estate, Akure as a site Supervisor (intern) in 1994 and later as a site Civil Engineer under the employment of Setraco Engineering Construction from 2000 to 2002. She is presently an academic staff in the Department of Building Technology, School of Environmental Studies, Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State Nigeria.  She has several publications to her credit and has attended many conferences at both local and international. She supervised several HND and ND project students to graduation. She takes joy in mentoring her students climbing the ladder of success to excellence, both academically and professionally. She has also served as the Honorary National Secretary, Association of Professional Women Builders’ of Nigeria (APWBN, 2020-2022). She is the current journal manager of JAPWBN. She loves interacting with noble minds, traveling, playing basketball and throwing Javelin. Research interest: Wearable technology, health and safety, SDGs, Green building, self-healing concrete, climate change.

Oluwayemisi is a dedicated scholar and multidisciplinary professional with expertise spanning Construction Management and  Sustainable Technologies. With a strong passion for research, collaboration, and innovation, she focuses on solving industry challenges, advancing sustainability in the built environment, and creating human-centered digital solutions. Her key interests include digital and smart construction, sustainable building practices, zero-carbon solutions, energy-efficient designs, smart materials, and urban digitalization.

Developing  predictive analytical model for cost management

Prof Rita Yi Man Li is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance, Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She is the Program Director of the Master of Science in Financial Technology Management and Director of the Sustainable Real Estate Research Center Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She has quite an extensive academic network with research collaborators from Ghana, Australia, the UK, Italy, the US, Cyprus, France, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Spain, Pakistan, mainland China, etc. She is also an invited keynote speaker at over 30 conferences, with over 11,000 citations on Google Scholar (‪R. Li‬ - ‪Google Scholar‬) as of August 2026.  Over the years, she has won many local and international awards. She acts as a PI and co-I for many academic research grants (over 40 million Hong Kong dollars), including highly competitive grants from the Research Grant Council, Enhancement and Start-up Grant Scheme for Self-financing Post-secondary Education and Public Policy Research Grant in Hong Kong, the ARC Linkage Grant in Australia, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, various grants from People’s Republic of China and other grants obtained from quasi-public institutions and government departments. Many of these are related to artificial intelligence. She is also the editor in Chief of the International Journal of Sustainable Real Estate and Construction Economics .

I am an Architect, Lecturer and Researcher. I like learning about making living spaces more habitable and comfortable, hence my core research area- Sustainable Architecture.

Gbemisola Akinola (PhD) is a Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying, The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro (Now Federal University of Technology Ilaro), Ogun State, Nigeria. She has multidisciplinary built environment research interests in construction cost management, digitalisation and construction sustainability. She has also gained valuable experience reviewing for reputable journals, local and international conferences. She has demonstrated knowledge of independent and collaborative research, with findings indexed in reputable publication outlets.
