Professional Bio   Mary Adio-Moses is an architect, researcher, and academic with a strong interest in sustainable architecture, urban development, environmental design, and the relationship between the built environment and human well-being. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture, with research interests centred on the application of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), to address environmental challenges and promote healthier, more resilient urban environments. Her research interests include urban green spaces, green infrastructure, sustainable urban development, environmental quality, urban resilience, public parks, adaptive thermal comfort, social equity, housing redevelopment, and gentrification, with particular emphasis on the urban context of Lagos State, Nigeria. Her work explores how planning and architectural interventions can improve environmental quality, strengthen urban resilience, enhance social inclusion, and contribute to more equitable and sustainable cities. As an emerging academic and built-environment professional, she is committed to advancing evidence-based architectural research and contributing to sustainable, inclusive, and resilient urban development through research, professional practice, teaching, and knowledge dissemination.

Maria Musa Mukaddas is a Nigerian Quantity Surveyor, construction management professional, researcher, and lecturer at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP), Bauchi, where she currently serves as Head of the Department of Quantity Surveying. She holds a B.Tech. in Quantity Surveying from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, and an M.Sc. in Construction Management from the University of Jos. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Construction Management at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. She has been an academic since 2011 and has extensive teaching experience in building measurement, construction management, estimating, tendering, cost control, and contract administration. She is a Registered Quantity Surveyor (RQS) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS). Her professional and research interests include construction cost management, project delivery, cost control, construction productivity, and sustainable construction practices. She has authored and co-authored research publications in these areas and has contributed to professional and academic development through leadership, community engagement, and capacity-building activities. I am Ohunene Rukayat Usman, a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) graduate in Civil Engineering from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. My academic and research interests focus on Geotechnical Engineering, particularly soil stabilization, with a strong commitment to developing sustainable, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective engineering solutions. My research focuses on improving the engineering properties of problematic soils through innovative stabilization techniques and the use of locally available and sustainable materials. I am particularly passionate about research that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contributes to sustainable infrastructure development and environmental protection. My research experience has resulted in publications and conference contributions in soil stabilization and sustainable construction materials. My publications include “Influence of Cow Bone Powder on Selected Engineering Properties of Lime-Stabilized Soil” (2024), “Influence of Cow Bone Powder on Consistency and Compaction Behavior of Lime-Stabilized Soil” (2023), and “Compressive Strength Properties of Concrete Containing Calcium Carbide Residue” (2026). Beyond research, I am a determined, resilient, and growth-oriented individual who believes in continuous learning and development. Dr. (Mrs.) Temidayo O. Aduloju is a Quantity Surveyor, academic, researcher, project management professional, and built-environment practitioner with expertise in sustainable construction and project delivery. I am a builder and advocate for *energy efficiency in the built environment* committed to advancing sustainable construction practices in Nigeria. As a woman in the construction industry, I bring practical, on-site experience to conversations about how buildings can be designed and delivered to use less energy while improving comfort and reducing long-term costs. My work focuses on translating energy-efficiency principles into real project decisions. I advise clients on high-impact, low-cost solutions such as specifying *casement windows instead of sliding windows* to improve airtightness and natural ventilation, and recommending *biodigesters instead of conventional septic tanks* to reduce emissions and explore biogas as an alternative energy source. I am passionate about making energy-efficient building the standard rather than the exception, especially in our climate. To deepen my impact, I intend to pursue formal studies in *Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment* to strengthen my technical foundation and contribute to research, teaching, and industry practice. Through WAIC, I hope to connect with other women academics and professionals in construction to share knowledge, mentor the next generation, and promote building practices that are climate-resilient, affordable, and people-centered.

Maryam Batool is a Gold Medalist researcher and Senior Research Affiliate at Amity University Dubai with an MS in Chemistry and extensive research experience in environmental remediation, wastewater treatment, adsorption, photocatalysis, polymer nanocomposites, biochar, sustainable materials, and contaminant removal. Her research particularly addresses dyes, heavy metals, emerging pollutants, and advanced materials for water purification. She has authored numerous peer reviewed publications and completed more than 500 scientific peer reviews for international journals. She received Elsevier Excellence in Reviewing recognition and the ACS Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Scholars Recognition, ACS Undergraduate Award for Excellence in Chemical Safety and Ethics, ACS Analytical Chemistry Younger Chemists Conference Travel Grant, and Sustainable Future Travel Grant. She serves on multiple early career editorial boards and contributes to ACS through professional leadership and scientific outreach.
