Mrs Ugochinyere Nneoma Okoye

Architecture/Lecturer

University of Nigeria

My academic and professional interest in architecture and design is rooted in a desire to understand how the built environment can respond effectively to changing contemporary educational, social, environmental, and technological needs. As an architect and researcher, I have developed a particular interest in learning environments and the relationship between architectural space and contemporary pedagogy. I hope to contribute knowledge that is contextually relevant to Nigeria while engaging broader international debates on adaptable architecture, educational environments, sustainability, and user-centred design. Ultimately, my goal is to develop evidence-based architectural strategies that improve learning environments and demonstrate how architecture can contribute meaningfully to educational quality, social development, and the sustainable transformation of Nigerian communities.
