Zara Ebunoluwa Akaa is a Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying at the Federal University Birnin Kebbi. She holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying and her research interests include Big Data Analytics and Digital Technology in Construction and Quantity Surveying. Her work focuses on applying data-driven tools to improve cost estimation, project delivery, and decision-making in the construction industry. She is passionate about integrating technology and analytics to drive innovation and efficiency in Nigeria’s built environment.

Mariam A. Oluwatosin is a Ph.D. researcher in Architecture, with research interests in biomimicry, regenerative design, climate-responsive architecture, adaptive building systems and sustainable high-rise buildings in the tropics. She holds a Master of Environmental Design (M.ED) in Architecture from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Architecture from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Nigeria. Her doctoral research examines nature-inspired strategies for developing environmentally responsive and resilient building systemms in tropical urban environments, with a particular focus on African cities. With over 20 years of professional experience in architecture, project management, and sustainable development, she integrates academic research and professional practice to advance innovative approaches to sustainable building design. Her broader research interests include adaptive architecture, green building materials, urban sustainability, environmental performance, and evidence-based design.
