Dr. Michelle Iyabo Fasona is a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Management, Lagos State University (LASU), Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources Conservation from the University of Lagos and has extensive experience in biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, landscape ecology, GIS, remote sensing, and environmental education. Her research focuses on biodiversity conservation, habitat connectivity, wildlife ecology, and the application of geospatial technologies to environmental management and conservation planning. Dr. Fasona has received several academic and research awards, including the WWF Prince Bernard scholarship, A. G. Leventis Scholarship and the S. L. Edu Research Grant. She is actively involved in environmental education, conservation outreach, and mentoring students and young conservation professionals. Through her teaching, research, and professional service, Dr. Fasona is committed to advancing sustainable environmental management and strengthening conservation science and practice.

I am a visionary leader who advocates for inclusion and transformation within the built environment. My career has been built around understanding how land, property, planning and governance come together to enable sustainable developments.

I am a graduate of Architecture with over 15 years of industry experience, in areas such as Residential ( Individual homes and Residential Estate Development ), Institutional ( Commercial Banks, Religious Buildings) currently undergoing a PhD program in Architecture with interests in Housing Studies and Sustainability.  

Zara Ebunoluwa Akaa is a Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying at the Federal University Birnin Kebbi. She holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying and her research interests include Big Data Analytics and Digital Technology in Construction and Quantity Surveying. Her work focuses on applying data-driven tools to improve cost estimation, project delivery, and decision-making in the construction industry. She is passionate about integrating technology and analytics to drive innovation and efficiency in Nigeria’s built environment.

Mariam A. Oluwatosin is a Ph.D. researcher in Architecture, with research interests in biomimicry, regenerative design, climate-responsive architecture, adaptive building systems and sustainable high-rise buildings in the tropics. She holds a Master of Environmental Design (M.ED) in Architecture from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Architecture from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Nigeria. Her doctoral research examines nature-inspired strategies for developing environmentally responsive and resilient building systemms in tropical urban environments, with a particular focus on African cities. With over 20 years of professional experience in architecture, project management, and sustainable development, she integrates academic research and professional practice to advance innovative approaches to sustainable building design. Her broader research interests include adaptive architecture, green building materials, urban sustainability, environmental performance, and evidence-based design. Research Interests: Biomimicry; Regenerative Design; Sustainable Architecture; Climate-Responsive Design; Adaptive Architecture; High-Rise Buildings; Green Building Materials; Urban Sustainability; Environmental Performance; Evidence-Based Design.
